Bees can be a real problem, especially to those who are allergic to their sting. To some they are just pests, but to others bees cause serious reactions and possibly even death. Most know of some tricks to keep bees at bay, such as smoke, but this is not always convenient or even possible. Golfers use dryer sheets to keep bees away. Follow these simple instructions to help keep bees away without a hassle.
Things You'll Need
Fabric softener sheets
Remove one sheet of fabric softener from its packaging.
Test if the sheets repel the type of bees in your area. If you normally have them in your yard, lay out a dryer sheet to test and see how the bees react. Make sure it repels your bees before relying on this method for an allergic-to-bee-sting person.
Once you see it is effective, place the sheet of fabric softener in a pocket of your clothing. Or, keep one in your car, tucked away in the sun visor or between seats.
Tips & Warnings
There are many toxic chemicals in fabric softener sheets. Do not handle with bare hands, and do not make contact with your face.
