Echo blowers are used to blow leaves or other debris off a yard. If you are having trouble with your Echo blower, you can make common repairs yourself. You don’t have to be an Echo technician to get your blower back up and running. Most of the repairs to the blower are minor . With minimal knowledge of how the blower works, you can soon have it back up and running.
Things You'll Need
Screwdriver
Gas
Suction hose (optional)
Turn the blower off at the "Power" button on the side of the unit and remove the plastic extension pipes that connect to the blower’s hose.
Use a screwdriver to release the pipe lock between the blower’s upper pipe and the fan casing. Look for any obstructions that might be in the upper pipe and check the fan casing for obstructions. Remove anything that you find.
Put the upper pipe back onto the fan casing. Tighten the connection between the upper pipe and the extension hose if you aren’t getting good airflow through the pipes. Slide the lower pipe onto the upper pipe and turn it clockwise to secure it.
Check the gas tank on the side of the blower. Make sure that you have enough gas in the unit for it to run.
Use a suction hose to remove old gas from the tank if the gas has been in the tank for more than a month. Fill the tank with new gas and turn the blower on.
