You can remove the moss with herbicides, but you may be spending money unnecessarily on harsh chemicals. The combination of liquid dish soap and water kill the moss by drying it, without emptying your wallet.
Things You'll Need
Liquid dish detergent
Spray bottle
Rake
Combine 2 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent with 1 quart of warm water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Set the spray bottle to the mist setting if it has one.
Spray the moss with the dish soap solution.
Apply the soap solution daily until the moss turns yellow and dies.
Rake the moss from the area and discard it.
Tips & Warnings
Liquid dish soap may kill surrounding vegetation, so apply it carefully.
