They include caterpillars, mites, rose slugs, Japanese beetles and aphids, to name just a few. Instead of waiting until you have a serious problem, you can use some all natural methods to keep the bugs away from your rose bushes.

Other Insects
Other insects and bugs will go after the bugs that eat your rose bushes as a natural part of the food chain. The trick is knowing which insects to place on your rose bushes. Ladybugs are excellent for hunting down and eating aphids and mites. Plus they don't bite and are harmless to humans. Praying mantis bugs eat just about any insect you can think of. Placing a few in your rose bushes is very beneficial. Praying mantises are also harmless to humans.
Birds
Birds eat bugs. The best way to get rid of any bugs on your rose bushes is to set up a bird feeder near the rose bushes. You can purchase a bird feeder or make one yourself. Fill the bird feeder with some wild birdseed, and let the birds do the work. With a good view of the rose bushes, they will swoop down and eat any bugs.
Dishwater
Dish detergent acts as a natural pest repellent. Put 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap in an empty spray bottle and fill it up with water. Give it a shake and use it to spray your rose bushes. You'll need to do this every other week to keep the pests away. You can also just save your leftover dishwater and use that in your empty spray bottle.
