John Deere D100 Riding Lawn Mower
The John Deere D100 riding lawnmower has 17.5 horsepower and a Briggs & Stratton engine. While the riding mower can reach 5 miles per hour moving forward, it goes just over 2 mph in reverse. The fuel tank can hold just over 2 gallons of gas, and the width of the cutting deck is 42 inches. Dimensions of the riding mower are 42-by-49-by-52-inches, and the mower weighs 442 lbs. John Deere offers a variety of attachments for the mower, including a mulching system, snow blade, front bumper, sun canopy and bucket holder. As of 2011, the cost of the riding mower is about $1,500.
Toro LX423 Riding Lawn Mower
The Toro LX 423 riding lawn mower has a 3-in-1 cutting deck that offers mulch, side and bag discharge capabilities. In addition to cutting at a width of 42 inches, the mower can travel up to 5.5 mph. The Kohler Courage Twin Cam OHV Engine has a cross-flow cylinder that is designed for easier starts and reduced noise. Comfort features include a 13-inch soft touch steering wheel, rubber footrests, side handles and 6 inches of seat adjustment. As of 2011, the cost of the Toro riding mower is about $1,700 and comes with a two-year warranty.
Craftsman 42-inch Riding Lawn Mower
The Craftsman 42-inch riding lawnmower has a 17.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine and seven-speed shift transmission. The mower can travel up to 5 mph forward and almost 3 mph in reverse. Fuel capacity of the mower is 1.5 gallons, and the mower weighs 520 lbs. Attachments include a rear-mount dethatcher, two twin bagger, bumper dual bar and high speed sweeper. As of 2011, the cost of the mower is almost $1,000.
