Organic Components
The major components of Miracle-Gro Garden Soil include peat, composted forest products, aged rice hulls or compost, sphagnum peat moss and manure. Specific combinations of these components may vary.
Fertilizer
There are a number of formulations of Miracle-Gro Garden Soil for various types of plants. They provide supplemental fertilizer to supply nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potash (K). A portion of the fertilizer is released slowly for up to three months. Miracle-Gro Garden Soils for Trees and Shrubs, Roses and Palm, Cactus and Citrus contain water soluble iron (Fe).
Other Components
Wetting agents, moisture retaining peat and drainage improvement components are added to some Miracle-Gro Garden Soils to improve performance for specific plants.
