Lizards are one reptile that is no stranger to the lush landscapes of Florida. There are some basic necessities that lizards need, such as water, insects and thick vegetation, and practically everywhere in Florida can cater to those needs. Skinks, geckos, anoles and lizards all belong to the lizard family of reptiles, and there are more than 10 species of lizards that are native to Florida. Although there is no spray to kill off these creatures, there are other ways of handling them.
Things You'll Need
Lizard glue traps
Bucket
Soap
Set out lizard glue traps all over your home, yard or garage.
Wait 24 hours or until you see that the trap has caught a lizard.
Fill a bucket with warm soapy water.
Drop the lizard and glue trap into the water until the lizard is dead.
Remove the lizard and dispose of the carcass in an outdoor trash can or in the woods. If you throw the lizard in the wood, remove the trap first.
Tips & Warnings
If you do not want to do the killing yourself, you can call an exterminator or use a cat.
Never attempt to hold your lizard on the glue trap. They may try to bite you.
