One frog in a tree can drive you crazy, but you might be able to ignore it long enough to go to sleep. However, multiple frogs in a tree is enough to keep you awake. Although frogs are beneficial to your yard, you might need to scare them off in order to get some sleep. Otherwise, you will become exhausted and be run down the next day.
Things You'll Need
Garden sprayer
Lemon juice
Saltwater
Turn off lights. The insects that come to the lights around your house attract frogs and others things to the flying feast.
Remove standing water such as play pools and bird feeders. These locations also draw in insects as well as give frogs a water source, which they love.
Mix up a citric acid like lemon juice with water. Pour it into a garden sprayer and spray the tree. The National Wildlife Research Center has had promising results with citric acid at making frogs leave an area.
Spray a mild saltwater solution into the tree as a last resort. The salt water hurts the feet of the frogs and makes them want to leave. However salt water is not good for plants and should be sprayed sparingly.
