Scorpions are irritating and potentially dangerous pests that can make their way into homes and crawl into crevices, and they can be an unpleasant surprise if you happen to go rooting around for something in the wrong place. Scorpions thrive in dry, arid climates and are particularly prevalent in the southwestern United States. You can take advantage of a few methods to get rid of scorpions in and around your home even if you don't want to use a lot of chemicals to do so.
Things You'll Need
Caulk
Screens
Glue traps
Mow your lawn regularly and keep trees and bushes trimmed so they don't reach the walls of your house. Clear out woodpiles and other clutter around the home, as scorpions love to seek shade in them.
Examine your house thoroughly for any possible entry points. Seal any cracks you find around doors, windows and along the foundation of the building with caulk for smaller spaces and screens for larger holes.
Practice good hygiene in your house to keep cockroaches from taking up residence, and clear out any spider webs. That way, the scorpion has no food and no reason to come into your home.
Place glue traps around your house. This will capture the scorpions without killing them.
