Leaf blowers originated from the mist blower, a device used to blow a chemical mist over grapevines, fruits, vegetables and tobacco crops. The blowing capacity was adapted for blowing leaves and other debris. Wire brush
Clean the air filter if the leaf blower has problems starting, loses engine power or produces thicker exhaust. Remove the filter cover and withdraw the filter from the leaf blower. Wash the filter in soapy water. Rinse the filter with running water. Dry the filter completely and then reinstall it.
Inspect the spark plug if the leaf blower is having difficulty starting or idles poorly. If the spark plug is dirty, clean the spark plug using a strong solvent and wire brush. Replace the spark plug if the leaf blower has been in regular use for a month or more.
Adjust the idle T-screw with a screwdriver if the leaf blower is idling improperly. The idle T-screw is located on top of the leaf blower, to the left of the handle. The screw will be properly calibrated when the leaf blower runs smoothly in all positions.
