Gorilla Glue is designed to hold just about anything together. It can be used to repair cracks in boats, stick ceramic tiles to your bathroom floor, and reattach broken tree branches. Branches can break due to many factors, including high winds and placing too much weight on them with backyard swings. When a tree branch breaks, dampness and rot can set in if the branch is not repaired quickly. Instead of paying a tree service to fix the branch, you can repair it yourself with a bottle of Gorilla Glue.
Things You'll Need
Gorilla Glue
Aluminum pie tin
Popsicle stick or wooden stirrer
Outdoor twine
Scissors
Pour a small amount of Gorilla Glue into an aluminum tin. A small branch can be repaired with a small amount of glue, but a larger branch may take much more. It is best to start with a small amount and pour in extra as needed.
Dip a wooden stick into the glue and pick up a glob of it. Spread the glue thinly and evenly over both sides of the crack in the branch. Press the sides of the branch together.
Cut a piece of twine that is long enough to wrap twice around the broken branch. Wrap the twine around the branch to hold it together while the glue sets. Tie the twine securely into place.
Allow the glue to set for a week, and then cut the twine off the branch.
