The Homelite leaf blower makes use of a primer to assist in cold-starting the engine; sometimes these plastic primers need to be replaced. The primer is a plastic bulb that is used to pump fuel into the engine. The primer is pumped seven times before cold-starting the engine. Replacing your primer bulb takes a couple of minutes.
Things You'll Need
Replacement bulb
Screwdriver
Locate the primer bulb next to the throttle stop lever.
Unscrew the two screws on the metal plate that hold the bulb in place.
Remove the broken bulb and replace with the new bulb. Replace the metal plate and screw in the two screws.
Squeeze the bulb until it fills with fuel.
