The Lesco Z-Two Zero-Turn Radius Mower provides a maneuverable option for mowing around tight spaces with ease. With a top speed of 10 miles per hour and a fuel capacity of 13 gallons, large spaces are coverable in a short period of time. The mower comes with a 12-volt electric starter to begin the ignition process.
Put on protective safety glasses and safety shoes as recommended by Lesco. Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing.
Position yourself on the mower and locate the engine ignition and start switch which are found in the instrument panel below the right side of the seat.
Insert the Lesco mower key into the ignition and turn clockwise at a 45-degree angle. This puts the ignition circuit into a closed position.
Check to make sure the blade clutch switch is in the "off" position, angled downward.
Engage the parking brake, which is found on the left side of the traction unit, by pulling the lever to the rear.
Place the left and right steering levers in the neutral position, opened outward.
Move the choke control, found on the instrument panel to the left of the driver's seat, forward.
Move the engine speed, found near the choke control, half-way forward.
Turn the ignition key clockwise so it moves beyond the 45-degree position into the "start" position. When the engine begins to run, release the key which should automatically return to the "run" position.
Move the choke backwards slowly until turned off.
Tips & Warnings
Lesco recommends thoroughly studying the operator's manual and controls before starting and using the mower.
If the engine is cold, it may be necessary to keep the choke partially engaged for several minutes. Once the engine is warm, release the choke.
