Many Honda four-wheelers are equipped with an oil change reminder system that illuminates a light when it is time to change the oil, based on the interval since the last oil change. After you have completed the engine oil change and other regular maintenance, the oil light must be reset in order for the system to accurately track the interval for the next maintenance. The reset procedure is the same for most Honda four-wheelers.
Turn the ignition on without starting the engine.
Press and hold the trip meter select button.
Press and hold the "Reset" button.
Release both buttons after the oil light disappears.
