Flower pots made with kids' handprints are an excellent Mother's Day gift for a mother or even a grandmother. There is nothing sweeter than capturing children's handprints while they are still little. Kids will love getting to create something themselves, especially if it involves getting a little messy too. Even if you're not terribly crafty, this is a simple project that anyone can do and involves very few materials. Mom will cherish the tiny handprints for years to come.
Things You'll Need
Clay flower pot
White acrylic paint
Colored acrylic paints
Paintbrush
Clear sealer
Paint the outside of the flower pot with white acrylic paint and a paintbrush to cover the entire pot.
Paint the colored acrylic paint onto the kids' hands using the paintbrush.
Press the kids' hands onto the pot to make the handprints, using different colors of paint and going different directions to make it creative.
Spray or brush on a clear sealer to make the handprint designs permanent.
Fill the pot with bright flowers and let the kids give it to a special someone as a sweet present.
