Things You'll Need
Trowel

Dig into the soil with the trowel to make holes a few inches down; separate holes by 12 to 18 inches.
Put a broccolini seed in each hole; cover with soil.
Water until moist.
As the plant grows and starts sending off side shoots, pinch off the middle bloom to allow the side shoots to grow. These side shoots are the harvesting area of the broccolini, and encouraging their growth allows the plant to be harvested three to five times a season. The growing period until the plants are harvest-ready is approximately two to three months.
Tips & Warnings
Broccolini likes cooler weather, so plant in the very beginning of the season so the seedlings can sprout without having to battle the intense summer heat. However, though it dislikes the extreme heat, very cold temperatures are also detrimental to its growth.
Watch leaves carefully throughout the season for holes; cabbage worms are known to enjoy broccolini.
