Bees are a peaceful group of flying insects pollinating flowers and making honey, but when they start making their home next to yours, it's time for them to go. A bee sting can be dangerous to those who are allergic; and the bee's sting is just annoying for the rest of us. If you see bees starting to congregate around your home, take steps to get rid of your bees quickly.
Check online to see if there is a bee keeper near you. The bee population is dwindling and often they come to your house and take care of the problem for you, free of charge. If you can't find any bee keepers in your area, you can deal with the problem yourself.
Find the bees' nest. Bees are usually active during the day time, so at dawn or dusk is the best time to catch them returning to their nest.
Dress in several layers of clothing, this will protect you from getting stung by any of the bees. You might want to consider face and eye protection as well depending on how serious the problem is.
Stand about 10 feet away from the nest and begin to spray an insecticide intended specifically for bees. The only way to really get rid of the bees is to kill them. This distance should keep you a safe ways away from the bees and their nest.
Spray the nest two or three days in a row to ensure you get rid of all the bees. Check to make sure you don't see any more bee traffic during the following few days.
Remove the nest to end your bee problem once and for all. The last thing you want is for another colony of bees to find a nicely established nest in working condition. Take down the nest. Fill any holes the nest may have left.
