How to Get Rid of Honey Bees. Honey bees are dark orange and have fuzzy bodies. These bees are the main pollinator of many fruits, vegetables, flowers and nuts. As such, they are very important to the survival of humans. Therefore, it is best to get rid of the bees without killing them. In fact, in some areas it is illegal to kill honey bees.

Decide if it is really necessary to get rid of the honey bees. If they have built their hive in your home, garage or shed, you need to remove them because they can cause extensive property damage. However, if their hive is in a tree you might want to leave them where they are. They are wonderful for your garden and honey bees rarely sting unless they feel threatened.
Contact your county extension agent to find out if it is alright to kill honey bees in your area. They also might be able to assist you with the removal of the bees from your property.
Look in the yellow pages of your local phone book for a beekeeper. Many beekeepers remove honey bees for free, or a very minimal charge, because they are grateful to get the bee colony. Beekeepers know how to safely move a bee colony.
Eliminate the attraction for the bees if they have not made a hive on your property but are swarming onto your property for another reason. Honey bees might swarm a bird bath or another water source because they need water to survive. Eliminate the water source to eliminate the problem.
Spray the hive, at night when the bees are home, with a chemical bee spray to kill the honey bees. Killing the bees should be done only as a last resort and only if it is legal in your area.
Tips & Warnings
If a swarm of honey bees starts diving at you and hitting into you without stinging, you should calmly, but quickly, walk away. Do not swat at them. They sometimes do this as a warning before they start stinging. Get inside a car or building for protection.
Never try to get rid of honey bees, or go anywhere near them, if you are allergic to bees.
