Things You'll Need
Sticks or wooden stakes
Garden twine
Gather sticks about the same length to build your garden teepee. Straight sticks are easiest to work with, although branches from a tree give the garden teepee a rustic look. Wooden stakes work as well.
Pick the best spot for the garden teepee and build it where vining plants need to climb. Flowers such as morning glories, moonflowers and sweet pea vines are also climbing plants that could use a garden teepee to climb.
Place three of the sticks into the ground and bring them together at the top. It should form a tripod-like structure. Bundle the sticks together at the top and tie with garden twine.
Add on sticks until the teepee is complete. Use twine to secure at the top of the bundle.
Weave the twine in and out of the bundled sticks and make sure the it's sturdy, stable and secure enough to support the plants as they grow.
Set up the garden teepee in the garden, cultivate the soil, plant your seeds or flowers at the base and watch them grow up the garden teepee.
Tips & Warnings
Make the garden teepee high enough for aggressive vining plants such as morning glories and pole beans. These plants will grow tall and need plenty of vining space.
